A Gentle Beginning to a Lifelong Journey – Welcome to Moonbeams Academy
Moonbeams Academy is a Waldorf-inspired community offering homeschool supplement programs for children ages 3–10.
We believe childhood should be gentle, joyful, and unhurried—a time for imagination, play, and natural discovery. Our goal is to support young families in creating a nurturing rhythm that allows their children to grow with confidence and wonder.

Classroom Days
Experience joyful, play-based learning rooted in Waldorf traditions. Children explore stories, art, and song in a warm, creative space that inspires curiosity and builds lifelong love for learning.
Bosque/Forest Days
Our Forest Days bring education to life outdoors. Children learn through exploration, movement, and the changing seasons—building creativity, resilience, and a deep connection to nature. During Bosque Days, children immerse themselves in the rhythms of the natural world. These hands-on, sensory-rich experiences foster curiosity, creativity, and mindfulness in every season.
Parent/Child Days
Our parent/baby class teaches waldorf principles to be implemented in your home to create a gentle environment with predictability, peace, and joy.

Guided by Heart: Taught by Waldorf-Inspired Teachers
We model early childhood Waldorf education that values creative play, artistic and natural avenues of exploration, and utilizes redirection as the primary form of “discipline.” We concentrate on learning about nature, the seasons, caring for animals, and how to play gently with each other. We flow through the rhythm of the day with joyful songs and stories.
This program is taught by Waldorf inspired teachers in the Albuquerque community, with formal and informal education and years of classroom experience.

At Moonbeams, we honor the sacred unfolding of childhood through play-based, developmentally appropriate education inspired by Waldorf principles. Rooted in community, we nurture the whole child—body, mind, and spirit—by embracing simplicity, connection with nature, wholesome living, and the rhythms of life. Together, we cultivate a space where learning is joyful, family is central, and the natural world is both teacher and companion.
